IEEE E-TEMS 2023 Conference

2023 IEEE European Technology and Engineering Management Summit (IEEE E-TEMS 2023) took place on 20-22 April 2022 in Kaunas, Lithuania in a hybrid form. The conference was addressing the challenge of achieving quality of life in smart cities through the projects and digital ecosystems. 

It was fourth IEEE E-TEMS Conference in Europe and third in the 5-year’s E-TEMS Conference Series and was supported by European Partnership for Project and Innovation Management (EuroPIM) Consortium. Its goals are to promote and explore the topics and relationships between Project Management, Digital Transformation and Smart Cities. The participants shared their understanding of quality of life within cities, showcase their digital transformation projects and explore related themes.

The Erasmus+ KA2: Knowledge Alliance “Projects for the Digital Transformation” (ProDiT) university partners were organizing a TechTalk session comprised of 4 talks given by local industry representatives. The TechTalk speakers shared the ideas, questions and proposals on digital transformation in the areas where technologies, sustainable smart cities and resilient society meet. The talks were followed by panel discussion with all presenters covering the next topics were covered: “How Smart Grids Enable the Digital Energy Future: the Baltic Perspective” Synchronisation”, “Kaunas Digital Twin”, “Are smart cities that far away? Real life hands-on experience and insights from the business”, and “How digital traceability will enable data collection to support today’s world sustainable challenges? Examples of EU Tobacco Products Directive and EU Digital Product Passport initiatives”. Thanks to the hybrid format the TechTalks could reach a wider audience as well as the talks were recorded to be applied for the ProDiT research purposes.

The next IEEE E-TEMS conference will take place in May 2025 in Bruges, Belgium.
